My Loan is not Jumbo loan, its under 400K
I don't have 20% down. But I was speaking to the Loan officer, he was telling, it doesn't matter if you put more down or not, 3yr forward continuous visa is req. I never heard this earlier.
I finally got the Loan Approved !
The underwriters was OK with my H1B + I-140 Approval + I-485 Reciept.

Why this fight for EB2 vs EB3..
ideally GC should be given based on one's arrival in US or based on first filing of GC..irrespective of which category u r
keeping that in mind, it doesn't matter, if u r EB2 or EB3 or if u r porting the date..because in either way..one will get GC (luck is still a factor) based on number of years in US or years since GC process started.
given a chance and if permissible under the law, most of us would want to switch to EB1..or even change the birthplace..to avoid this mess..but then it is too difficult to switch to EB1 compared to switching from EB3 to EB2. one would always take the least resistive path and it is right as long as it is not illegal under the current law..(oh..no..don't talk about morality..because when personal interests are at stake..nothing matters..for most of us)
anyway..they have successfully created enough divisions among ourselves EB1,2,3...row...the bright side of eb3 to eb3 porting is..that everyone will become eb2 and then we will stand united..hopefully..but then we will have divisions..eb2 before this year..eb2 originally filed..eb2 with masters from us..eb2 with 5 yrs of experience..eb2 with two masters...eb2 with fair screen..eb2 with black skin..
we have been always like that..divided and self centric and we will remain so and that's why u can see those blood sucking idiots can kill as at their will because we are not indians..but..from up, bihar, gujarat..from castes..region.language..list is endless but then we have never learnt anything from history..that's why ruled by minorities for most of the years in last 2000yrs history..

There is no doubt about NRIs are the prime reason for the real estate boom in India. It is tottally unbelivable that 2 bedroom flat in a normal second class town has gone to up to 40 lakes. Decent independent houses are in terms of crores in small cites. Two factors. One is foreign money and second in black money from local dadas/politicians. Also demand vs supply. The availble land is small and demand for that land is too high due to these two gropus.
I visited one of my NRI friends house in India, where he is not going to live as he is a US citizen. His parents already won two houses and they bought another house as a investment. This house in a recent development area in a small town where there is no high tech employment is avialable; In my feeling it may not worth 5 lakes; they were selling at 45 lakes. Even if anyone ready to pay 45 lakes there is no unit is avialable; everything was sold to NRIs. No resident won the houses in that area. All the dads and mos are baby sitting the houses. Renting alos not that easy. It is tottally unbelivable. I wonder why all the NRIs buying house in India and increisng the house price? The guys working here (or any part of the world) and not going to live in India, why government should allow to buy the house and increse the price? Everyone tries to do real estate bussiness there. That is the main reason for price increase.
Is is sad. All these NRIs are going to learn a very valuable lesson. Speculation is not a good strategy for investing. A lot learned that in the past few months here in USA. In a year we will be seeing the full blown post bubble correction in India. If one can rent an apartment for 15,000 why would one buy it for 50 lakhs. The interest alone on 50 lakhs is 50,000 every month. It is like buy and rent it and loose money. Instead why don't they deposit in a bank and get 50,000 every month:confused:

I got the same message on 4th jan and received the AP documents from my employer today..probably it may take 10 days to receive from USCIS through Attorney/Employer..don't worry..you will receive on time...

Just a thought.
I think USCIS might be busy with approving I485 cases of EB2-India/China. From October it might be on track. For most of cases, approving I140 immediately is not going to help applicant as he has to wait for I485 as per priority date.

I'm wondering how many are still awaiting advanced parole? I am travelling in a months time, and do intend to go for H1 stamping but at the same time expecting my AP to come through before I leave. Whats up with this delay? Anyone else in the same situation? Please respond.
