ya just because u need green card, you agree with professor sahib. once u get ur green card u will also talk bad about india and indian workers.. i think gone r days when it was a cheap labor.. do u think our education systems/colleges IIT's/REC's are crap.
just because he favored GC applicant you should not agree..he straightway projected india as third world nation in eductaion, resource quality etc ..
I totally totally agree with Professor Sahib! I wish the government listens to him. What he is saying is good for everyone. As Indians we want America to succeed and prosper and we want to be a big part of the reason they prosper.

I have talked to a representative and he very patiently explained me about the mess.
He clearly and very clearly told me that they have a deadline to send all receipts for June end and July 2nd filers by friday (tomorrow) or worst case monday.
He mentioned that they are working hard to meet this deadline.
Hope this clears the anxiety.

Since most of the crowd will file 485 now and will get EAD, I was wondering, if IV will still be putting efforts to make the PD current, or to get the option of filing 485 even if PD is not current?
This will help those -
1. who are stuck in BEC and could not file 485
2. who changed jobs after seeing no movement in PD for months, and labor is not yet filed or approved by new employer.
I am one of them.. and was wondering if there are chances of getting EAD for us. Or we will be employer dependent always.. until .. forever...

If u applied 485 in June 07 u might have already been alloted a visa number...Call uscis to find out...A nicer IO may give u some details abt your case

The issue has two legs:
Leg 1: Process fix
Leg 2: Increasing number of greencards

A lot of people who post here are all frustrated and angered and they channelize their anger and frustration through these forums whereas instead if it is channelized in a positive way - our campaigns will be more effective and we can reach our goals.

The reason CIS isnt processing EB3 for last 3 months is because the dates are U and since they have lot of pressure not to waste visa numbers they have put all resources into EB2.
I have seen EB2 cases filed in May-08 been approved.
But i know this is unfair for EB3 people like us waiting for over a yr.
